Every blog has a nitch – or so they say. However, I’m deciding to give this blog a bit of a Superman flavor. I don’t just want to stick to one topic. I’d like to expand, write about many things. The things I like most? You’ll see. Among some of the nonsense I may choose to post here, there will be useful information that pertains to a variety of people.
The Inspiration for this Blog
As a young girl I had a fascination with angels. There was just something so interesting about them. Though when I thought of angels, I thought of the beauty of the northern lights in human form rather than the stereotypical idea of winged creatures with pale skin and dazed expressions.
Angels became a big part of my life. I believe they led me to go back to Spiritualism when a very evil person who was once a part of my life attempted to turn me away. I believe they help everyone who truly wants their help. But beyond that I enjoy the scientific idea of angels.
I wanted to pursue angelology as a profession. Though I am not there yet, I hope that someday I will be. Two things impede this goal:
- Angelology is a dying field. It’s roots are based in Catholicism and the Catholics have kind of put it on the back burner when compared with other theological studies such as Armageddon. Though it is no longer restricted to just the Catholic faith, any religion or group willing to study angelology is small in number (including Spiritualists). Theologians must first study as apprentices. How can one be an apprentice when there is no master to be found?
- Modern theologians are more concrete thinkers than abstract thinkers. They have a difficulty thinking “outside the box”. Because of this, I believe that they are beginning to dismiss angelology and demonology as areas of study relating to theology. They have almost gone so far as to brand it “fiction”. However, our group of Spiritualists and those few still dedicated Catholics would not allow such a thing to happen. So they keep such opinions to themselves.
Now that I am finished rambling about angelology, theology, modern thought processes, and the corruption of the world in general – just kidding about that last part, I think it’s time to move on to other subjects.
